Interview with Gregory Moore organizer of NYFW Events For Fashion Gallery-2014

Fashion Gallery NYFW at the Hellen Mills Theater was once again an amazing success with the designers’ line up collections. Fashion Gallery is known for creating intimate shows where industry folks can network and connect with other like-minded individuals.

World Liberty TV fashion team was on hand for a few of the emerging designers from the theme Designer’s Premier. The show started out with designer Felicity Brown for Hats by Felicity, and then Alex Vinash, House of Sadia, Charu Lochan Dass, Lisu Vega, Victor Esquilin, Bea Rodriquez Suarez and Tiki Glam finished out the Designer’s Premier runway. All the designers’ collections showcased well crafted clothing and accessories.

The Fashion Gallery NYFW pulled together a very creative and professional fashion event.

NYFW: Jill Stuart Spring 2015 Show

Jill Stuart created what she calls “softer dressing” for her Spring 2015 Collection. It included sophisticated silhouettes with a slight A-line shape, kimono inspired wrapping at the waist on dresses, blouse, and skirts. The colors were mostly very light with tones like powered pink, nude, grays, and browns. The collection’s theme reminded me of a modern 70’s woman who doesn’t take things too serious. All in all, the Jill Stuart consumers will be very pleased.

Launched in 1993, Jill Stuart’s eponymous line is said to have really taken off when pieces from the collection were used in the 1995 movie Clueless. Today, the brand earns approximately $30 million annually in the U.S. but fares even better in Asia, grossing closer to $100 million. Stuart received major attention here in 2007 for using Lindsay Lohan as the first non-model celebrity in her ads. Known for showing during Fashion Week at the New York Public Library, the feminine, sometimes frilly collection can be found in her Soho flagship, as well as in higher-end department stores, and has come to include handbags, shoes, and perfume.

In 2007, Stuart launched a secondary line called Jill by Jill Stuart – now exclusive to the Japanese and Korean markets – followed by a lower-priced collection of dresses under the name Jill Jill Stuart in 2010, available at major department stores like Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s.

World Liberty TV fashion team had the opportunity to interview Jill Stuart Spring 2015 Collection.

Queens pride Parade of Jackson Heights Queens NY-2014

QUEENS PRIDE promotes awareness and education among and of the and queer/questioning community of Queens, New York.

Our founders were provoked to organize the QUEENS PRIDE parade and festival by the murder of Julio Rivera and discrimination in our local schools. These events brought the LGBTQ community of Queens together to achieve respect, and in doing so, identified a need to take advocacy to the streets.

Our first Queens Pride march was held in 1993, and since, our parade and festival have grown tremendously. We now attract more than 40,000 spectators and are the second largest Pride celebration in the New York metropolitan area. Queens Pride continues to promote the visibility and accomplishments of the LGBTQ community and to foster acceptance by the many cultures and religions represented in our borough.

In addition to the parade and festival, our group works to foster youth, cultural, and social programming and to engage our elected officials on issues pertinent to the LGBTQ community. We host an annual film series, and our Winter Pride Dinner Dance attracts countless elected officials who come to support our efforts and provide commitment to advancing our causes.

Infiniti Debuts Q70 Luxury Sedan at the NY International Auto Show -2014

Stylish yet subtle, the 2014 Infiniti Q70’s combination of lavish equipment and dynamic performance makes it one of the more elegant choices in the luxury sedan realm, even with the stiff competition from Germany and America.

Previously known as the M sedan, the 2014 Infiniti Q70 reaches its rivarly of the world’s best luxury sedans without copying them–it’s a true original. Striking, voluptuous curves and complex surfaces wrap an interior filled with warm wood, semi-aniline leather, and considerably more personality than you’ll find in comparably stark European alternatives.

Both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions of the Infiniti Q70 are available, as are two different engines: a V-6 and a V-8. The Q70 3.7 RWD and AWD share a 3.7-liter V-6 engine rated at 330 horsepower; the Q70 5.6 RWD and AWD get a 5.6-liter, 420-horsepower V-8. All models get a seven-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift mode, rev-matching downshifts, and optional paddle shifters. Both V-6 and V-8 versions of the Q70 accelerate rapidly and shift smoothly.

Bentley Debuts the Bentley Flying Spur at the NY International Auto Show -2014

At Bentley Motors we are dedicated to developing and crafting the world’s most desirable high performance cars. Founded in 1919 by W.O Bentley, his mission was “To build a good car, a fast car, the best in class”. These words remain true today and we are still making responsive, comfortable and powerful Grand Tourers.

Although we now have many models in our range, a hand-built Bentley is always unmistakable. All it takes is a glance at the twin headlights, matrix grille or the high waistline to know one.

The sedan version of the Bentley Continental, the 2014 Bentley Flying Spur drops its Continental moniker but remains three tons of air-conditioned, quilted-leather land-missile.

Consider these numbers, which would have been fantasy just a decade ago: The 6.0-liter W12 engine now produces 616 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, doled out in a 40/60 front/rear split by the all-wheel-drive system. A 110-pound weight reduction over the outgoing Flying Spur means the power-to-weight ratio improves by 14 percent; every 8.9 pounds gets its own horse. Sixty miles per hour is now achieved in 4.3 seconds, on the way to a terminal velocity of 200 mph. Keep it south of the century mark and a combined 15 mpg is available, rising to 20 mpg on the highway.

The enthusiast luxury buyer may find the Bentley offers an unexpectedly entertaining driving experience. The owner who prefers to be driven will likely prefer the space and comfort of either the long-wheelbase German flagship sedans or the more upscale Mulsanne or Rolls offerings.

Mercedes’s Benz Debuts The All New C Class at the NY International Auto Show- 2014

Mercedes-Benz’s all-new 2015 C-Class has made its world debut, so engineers out testing different versions of the car have let their guard down a little, as these latest spy shots of the wagon variant confirm. Known as an Estate overseas, the new C-Class wagon should hit showrooms in markets where it’s sold by the end of the year.

Though it’s yet to be confirmed, Mercedes is unlikely to offer its new C-Class wagon in the U.S. The automaker already offers an E-Class Wagon locally and low sales of luxury wagons make it hard to justify launching a second wagon. Buyers here tend to flock to crossovers and SUVs, which Mercedes has plenty of.

We hope it comes because the spy shots reveal a very tasteful and elegant design. The rear window appears more upright than the window on the outgoing C-Class wagon.

World Liberty TV, Motor team was on hand at the Mercedes Benz Press Conference, and had the pleasure of listening to Stephen Cannon, President and CEO, of Mercedes Benz  USA, about the debut of the Mercedes-Benz’s all-new 2015 C-Class, see what he and his team had to say, right her in our World Liberty TV, Motor Channel.

2015 Debut of Toyota Camry at NY International Auto Show -2014

Ever made someone do a double take? You will now. The new 2015 Camry styling is impossible to ignore, with bold, aggressive hood lines and a striking new front grille. From now on, people won’t just be talking about all that technology, safety and quality engineering. They’ll be too busy asking “Who was that?”

Starting with the exterior…

The front end is all about attitude … with a new bumper cover and a prominent grille…
Brighter, best-in-class LED low and high-beam headlights feature sleek housings.
We gave it a new hood … paired with a more prominent character line that spans from its muscular fender flares …across its new doors and rear quarter panel … and into a freshly styled trunk … giving it a clear sense of motion.
New tail lamps sweep into the freshly tapered bumper cover.
And the wider track gives the car a more athletic stance and confident curb appeal.

Throughout the redesigned interior …

We used soft-touch materials for a more refined look and feel…
French stitching, satin chrome, and metallic black trim …dress up our premium models.
Customers will recognize the … seats, door panel and steering wheel have been improved.
And we gave it a new center stack with simplified and intuitive controls.

We also added top-flight electronics …

A 4.2-inch multi-information display… conveniently located in the meter cluster … helps keep the driver’s attention on the road.
Working with JBL … we custom-tuned the audio system for superior sound …
Audio screens up to 7-inches display the latest and greatest Entune system.
And the Camry even offers a segment-first wireless charging system for your phone.

To improve NVH and make this the quietest Camry ever ..we added almost 30% more carpet insulation …while moving the side mirrors out further away from the cabin to reduce wind-noise.

Camry has never skimped on safety … so we’re offering advanced safety features, like:

Our pre-collision system
Lane Departure Alert
Adaptive Cruise Control
Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
And Auto High Beams.

With the Star Safety system standard across all grades … we expect Camry to achieve a NHTSA 5-Star safety rating …and an IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus.

A few years ago … we launched the sporty SE grade on the current Camry … and it was a huge hit … accounting for 45% of the Camry sales mix … and bringing younger buyers into the brand.

The median age of an SE buyer is 45 …12 years younger than the segment average.

To give our customers more of what they want … we created the all-new Camry XSE grade that you see here on the stage.18-inch alloy wheels and an enhanced suspension make this the sportiest Camry yet.

2014 NY International Auto Show @ NY Javit Center

In 1900, the New York International Automobile Show became North America’s first automotive exhibition. For over one hundred years, through depression, war, boom-time, oil crisis, recession and growth, it has continued its pioneering tradition of bringing new and innovative ideas to a national and world stage. In the last decade, the Show has boosted the number of new vehicle announcements, broken attendance figures, and increased media attention to extraordinary levels.

Combined with the City’s energy, and the fact that metro New York is one of the nation’s largest markets for new car and truck sales, the Show is now one of the most important automotive events in the world.

In addition to its place as one of the world’s greatest public shows, NYIAS has expanded its range of world-class trade and industry events. Today, nearly 100 individual events, conferences, industry forums, symposiums, award ceremonies, roundtables, and parties take place during the Show’s press preview week – in addition to the more than two dozen press conferences hosted by the automakers.

No other event brings the business, consumer and lifestyle press, Wall Street’s financial community, the marketing and advertisers of Madison Avenue, and the nation’s largest and most diverse metropolitan population together in such a unique way.

The Show offers virtually every make and model vehicle sold in the U.S. under one roof giving consumers the unique opportunity to see everything the auto industry has to offer. From fuel-sipping economy cars to million dollar supercars, NYIAS has something for everyone.

So come for a visit, and see what’s driving you!
