CE Week 2015 concluded today after three jam-packed days of interactive exhibits, engaging conference sessions and live press events. From connected cars to high-res audio, robots to 3D printing, smart home solutions to smart money, digital health to wearable tech, the show covered technology for every aspect of your life for everyone in the family, including infants, seniors and even pets. The largest consumer electronics (CE) event in New York City, CE Week brought together government officials to celebrate the city’s young student innovators, local designer Chris March of Project Runway to prove wearable tech can be chic, and rising “techfluencers” from the getgeeked community who competed to be the next star YouTube product reviewer. Over the course of the three days, there were hundreds of products on display and more than 130 tech industry leaders who participated in more than 30 conference sessions, attracting thousands of media and CE industry professionals from across the nation.
Several companies hosted press conferences throughout CE Week making major product announcements including Monster, Pioneer and Adlens. Sengled, Vivitek, Pioneer, HearNotes, clip&talk, Oomi, The Padcaster, Formlabs, NeoLab Convergence and Monster took to the CE Week Demo Stage for exciting demos and presentations.
Several product awards were given out during CE Week including the Best of Show, presented by Dealerscope. The Innovation Zone Technovation Award was presented to Seek Thermal for its Smartphone Thermal Imaging Camera, with finalists including BodiMetrics for its Performance Monitor, and Roost, which showcased its Roost 9V Smart Battery for Smoke Alarms.
Five “techfluencers” from the getgeeked community were selected to conduct product reviews in front of a live audience and a panel of judges in the America’s Got Geek competition. Finalists went head-to-head, reviewing products from Monster, Sony, The Padcaster, WowWee and Ozobot. Ultimately, Francil Richards took home the title of The Next Great YouTube Product Reviewer, wowing the judges with his review of The Padcaster.
