The Food & Wine Experience compliments the BCA’s Mission to advance diversity to the highest ranks of the culinary and beverage industry.
At this event, aspiring culinary and beverage professionals learn about the industry; established restaurateurs, sommeliers, and importers network and display their brands and achievements.
BCAGlobal also honors the dedication of leaders and role models in the wine & spirits industry with the Vision Award.
A large part of the mission of BCA Global focuses on making young people of color aware of the endless career opportunities in the culinary and hospitality fields.
This event is incredibly important to increase the awareness of these opportunities within the wine and beverage industry.
BCAGlobal empowers people of color across diverse cultures through education, training and mentoring within a mindfulness approach to food, coupled with practical skills in the hospitality & culinary industries, leading to meaningful connections that further a vision of a beloved community.
Mindful Eating for the Beloved Community is a nationwide initiative to empower individuals and communities to address the health crisis in communities across America that have their root cause in poor nutrition.
Mindful Eating for the Beloved Community is a new paradigm within which eating is an expression of identity and a path to self-actualization that has the power to reconnect family, community, culture, faith and wellbeing through food.
This new paradigm provides a foundation and framework for BCA to bring together aspiring culinary professionals, nutritional and food system experts, and entire communities to collaborate on transformation projects, such as urban agriculture and community gardens.
