The show has been held annually since 1900. The show was held at the New York Coliseum from 1956 to 1987 when the show moved to the Javits Center.
Before the show opens every year, several auto companies debut new production and concept vehicles for the press. In addition, the Greater New York Auto Dealers Association (GNYADA) and the International Motor Press Association (IMPA) host corporate meetings and events.

International Vision Expos, the worldwide conference and exhibition for eyecare and eyewear, are trade-only events that draw more than 30,000 eye care professionals each year. Co-owned by Reed Exhibitions and The Vision Council, International Vision Expo gives back to the entire ophthalmic community. Proceeds from International Vision Expo are used by The Vision Council to educate consumers about the importance of vision care and the options in eyewear and other related products.

The Teletubbies, among the most iconic children’s characters of all time, are returning to New York City to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show. In 2007, on the 10th anniversary, then Mayor Michael Bloomberg named March 28th “Teletubbies Day,” and presented the Teletubbies themselves with a key to the city. Now they’re back, to tour the town and host a once-in-a-lifetime Teletubbies 20th extravaganza.
On Monday, March 27, all four Teletubbies — Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po — will visit some of New York’s best known sights, including the Brooklyn Bridge, Flatiron Building, Times Square and Central Park. At each stop, they will give their trademark Big Hugs, to one another and anyone else who would like one, and pose for pictures and selfies. Fans can follow @TeletubbiesUSA on Twitter for clues of their route and join in the fun.
