NSA Trade Show at Resorts Casino NY-2022

The NSA Sales and Trade Show Organized by the National Supermarket Association, the event attracts companies seeking to showcase and sell their products and services to buyers from the independent supermarket sector.  The event offers a unique opportunity to interact with supermarket owners and managers.

Those companies seeking to establish or improve their relationship with 400+ independent supermarkets in the East Coast.

The NSA Sales & Trade Show will focus on current and new international, national, regional, and local companies looking to serve the independent supermarket industry.

It was a truly great a great event with close to 300 hundreds of companies, like Goya, Coco Cola, Friendly’s Ice Cream, Mama Ices, Pepsi and many companies, from Puerto Rico, Santo Domingo, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and many more companies throughout Latin and Central America.

All the companies were showcasing many of their products, aimed at the Hispanic community here in New York and the USA. There were so many thousands of products showcased.

You also had an opportunity to taste many of the products. Many coffees from Colombia Juan Valdez, were exhibiting and showcasing many of their brands, other coffee brands came from Peru, Ecuador, Santo Domingo.

Mayor Eric Adams was in attendance, he walked around with the NSA, Officers meeting many vendors and stopping at their booths and talking to them, and thanking each and every one of them. Mayor Adams went onto to say, I thank NSA, for all the support to have me elected as the mayor and I pledge my support in any way to help NSA.

About  NSA: Founded in 1989 by Hispanic entrepreneurs, the NSA is a trade association that represents the interest of independent supermarket owners in New York and other urban cities throughout the East coast, Mid-Atlantic region and Florida.

Beginning in the mid-seventies, these entrepreneurs had the courage of opening supermarkets in areas abandoned by the large chains, as they were economically depressed and mostly minority neighborhoods.

These men and women had the vision and the commitment to fill a vacuum in those communities, at a time when the term “food desert” had not even been coined. Currently, many NSA members continue to serve those areas by offering healthy foods and full service supermarkets.

The association has grown dramatically in the last two decades and currently provides its members hands on representation in both the private and public sectors and advocates issues that impact the entire supermarket industry.

Current membership represents approximately 400 supermarkets. Most members are of Hispanic descent, and their stores are predominantly located in minority neighborhoods.

WILDER VS. HELENIUS NY Press Conference at Barclays Center-2022

Former WBC Heavyweight World Champion and boxing superstar Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder and top-rated Robert “The Nordic Nightmare” Helenius previewed their upcoming WBC Heavyweight Title Eliminator during a press conference, appearing via satellite, before they meet on Saturday, October 15 topping a FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View from Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The press conference also featured former IBF Super Middleweight Champion Caleb “Sweethands” Plant and two-time WBC Super Middleweight Champion Anthony “The Dog” Dirrell meeting face to face as the 168-pound rivals prepare for a WBC Super Middleweight Title Eliminator in the co-main event.

Tickets for the event, which is promoted by BombZquad Promotions and TGB Promotions, are on sale now available for purchase in-person at the American Express Box Office at Barclays Center.

Here is what the press conference participants had to say Tuesday from Barclays Center:

DEONTAY WILDER: “We’ve put in over 400 rounds so far and training camp has been great. I’m trying to do something different with adding Don House to the team working in Las Vegas. We wanted to change up some things, go more rounds and see what happened.

“This training sounds like it could be a lot on your body, but when you’re in shape physically and mentally, nothing is impossible. “I’ve had a great career and now I’m back again for my second reign. It’s amazing to reminisce about all the years and about how I got to where I am now. It’s been an honor. We had a gameplan and we executed that game plan.

“Every time I fight, you’re on the edge of your seat, because I’m going in there 110%. I’m looking forward to this fight and coming back to Barclays Center, where some of my most exciting knockouts have occurred. I have remarkable memories there and I can’t wait to display my talent.

“Over these years everyone has seen what I’m capable of doing and what my mindset is when I step in there. Everyone knows what I’m coming with on the 15th and what we’re going to give. Whether it’s for our family, our country or our fans, there’s one night and one fight, it’s going to be fireworks.”

ROBERT HELENIUS: “I’m feeling really good and training camp is going great. I’ve fought a lot of good opponents and had a long career so far. This is of course a big fight for me. I have respect for Deontay, but when I come to America, I’m going to give everything that I have. “I’m ready to do everything in my power to win. I only took two weeks off after my last fight and I’ve been training since then. I know what it takes to win at this level.

“I’ve promised my fans in Finland that I would bring the world title back home and sometimes you have to go through a lot to get there. But I’m going to do everything I can. We’re doing all the extra work that we need to. “This is a huge deal. All I’ve ever wanted is to get the chance at the world heavyweight title. That’s why I’ve continued to fight.

CALEB PLANT: “I’m feeling good and I’m thankful to my team. It feels good to be back and I’m excited for my first time fighting in New York. I’m looking to be impressive on October 15.

ANTHONY DIRRELL: “I’m ready to fight and beat some ass. He’s running. He’s been running from me. Can you name somebody that likes him? Nobody likes him. Canelo Alvarez smacked you, remember that. I wouldn’t ever let another man smack me.

The Parade highlights promote and acknowledge the heritage and contributions of the Dominican community in the United States and throughout the world.

The parade is a tradition beloved by the Dominican community, but it is only the tip of the iceberg for our organization! For us, the Dominican Day Parade is much more than a parade.

Throughout the year, we hold various events including food drives, the annual gala, and parade kick-off events in all five boroughs.

Understanding the value of education, the Dominican Day Parade takes great pride in providing scholarships and mentor opportunities to exceptional students of Dominican descent.

Through the funds raised from our annual gala, we granted $200,000 in scholarships in 2019 to support awardees through college and post graduate institutions.

Helping these promising young people continue to excel in their future ventures allows us to achieve our primary goal: to support and celebrate the Dominican community!

THE NATIONAL DOMINICAN DAY PARADE: The Dominican Day Parade is a joyful celebration of all things Dominican. Each year, we come together in New York City to honor our heritage and culture and to recognize the many accomplishments Dominicans have made in United States, and around the world. Moving Forward and uplifting our community takes perseverance, resiliency, hope, adaptation, growth, and transformation that will lead to a victory in all situations. The individuals we are recognizing this year all exemplify these attributes of Advancing la “Dominicanidad
