Exclusive interview with Kristi Yamaguchi Greatest Asian-American Figure Skater of all time-2023

Kristi Yamaguchi captured the gold medal in the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France in figure skating. She is also a 2-timeWorld champion and U.S. National Champion. Kristi is a member of the US Figure Skating Hall of Fame, World Figure Skating Hall of Fame and the US Olympic Hall of Fame.

She recently received the USOPC’s Jesse Owens Olympic Spirit Award for “serving as a powerful force for good in society” as well as the 2019 Heisman Humanitarian Award for the work of her Always Dream organization. Following a long and successful career in professional figure skating including 10 years of touring with Stars On Ice, Kristi took to the dance floor to win the mirror ball trophy with partner Mark Ballas in season 6 of the popular TV show “Dancing With The Stars.”

In 1996, she founded Kristi Yamaguchi’s Always Dream whose mission is to give children from low income families access to high quality books in the home environment. Aiming to close the opportunity gap and digital divide with an innovative, family engagement literacy program.

In 2012, Kristi added New York Times Best-Selling author to her list of achievements by introducing her first children’s picture book, “Dream Big, Little Pig!”, and then following up with “It’s A Big World, Little Pig!”and a third title “Cara’s Kindness”. Kristi resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, 2-time US Olympian and Stanley Cup Champion, Bret Hedican, and their daughters Keara and Emma.

2nd Annual Japan Parade at Central Park West 81st in New York City-2023

The 2nd annual Japan Parade, celebrating and bringing awareness to the friendship between NYC and Japan with a thank you from the Japanese community.

 Olympic gold medalist, founder of Always Dream and author Kristi Yamaguchi will be the Parade’s Grand Marshal and the Parade will feature gorgeous floats and performances.

Beginning on Central Park West at West 81st Street and traveling south to West 67th Street, the Japan Parade will feature live appearances by the cast of “Live Spectacle NARUTO”, Anime NYC (Anime Convention), COBU (Drum), Harlem Japanese Gospel Choir, International Karate Organization Kyokushinkaikan, The Japanese Folk Dance of NY, Katsura Sunshine (Rakugo Comedian), Soh Daiko (Drum), TATE Hatoryu NY (Sword Fighting), Yosakoi Dance Project 10tecomai, Young People’s Chorus of NYC, and many more.

Kristi Yamaguchi served as the parade’s Grand Marshall, and Sandra Endo, Fox 11 Good Day LA anchor, served as Emcee of the parade. Participating groups showed Japan’s various attractions, such as culture, tradition, sports, music, cosplay for everyone’s enjoyment.

Japan Day @ Central Park was founded in 2007 to promote a deeper understanding of Japanese culture. It is a family-friendly cultural event received official support from the Office of the Mayor throughout the years.

We get to use the beautiful Central Park with the help of the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation and the Central Park Conservancy.

Also, the Consulate General of Japan in New York, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Nippon Club, and many other Japanese and American corporations have been supporting us since day one.

The event kicks off with the 4-mile mini-marathon Japan Run and Kids’ Races hosted by New York Road Runners. The event continues with the Japan Day Festival featuring a wide range of Japanese traditional activities, free samplings of popular Japanese cuisine, and powerful stage performances throughout the day.

The largest information on Japan’s many tourist destinations were made available at several other tents, and as the last year, there were tent’s where visitors donated to a charity cause.

The Japan Street Fair is your chance to experience a Japanese festival, or matsuri, unlike any other.

Many Political leaders in attendance, who presented proclamations to Japan Parade New York Organizers, which included, Governor Hochul ‘s office, Mayor Eric Adams, Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, Assembly member Ron Kim and many more political leaders and advocates in attendance.

Humanitarians of the World Inc , Presentation of BackPacks to An-Noor Youths-2023

Humanitarians of the World Inc., (HOTWINC) which has been in existence for the past fifteen years, has helped people throughout the World. Homeless, Needy, disabled orphans, refugees and many more.

Humanitarians of the World Inc., has touched lives of thousands of people worldwide, through all these Humanitarian projects.

Dr. Adal M. Hussain, Co-Founder of Humanitarians of the World Inc., who has been a Humanitarian for the past 45 years, he started at age 10, in England. He has worked on many humanitarian Projects throughout the World. He is a World Renowned Athlete, Winning the Greatest, Indian, Pakistani and Bangla Belt in Boxing in the World, in England in 1985.

Being honored 400 hundred times around the World, for his humanitarian work and efforts, keynote speaker throughout the World, institutions like the United nations, Humanitarian events, Universities, Non-Profit organizations. He is also being knighted by Countess Nicholas Bobrinskoy in the Order of the Orthodox Knights of St. John -2020, being the first Indian to hold this honor in the knighthood.

Dr. Hussain, also has started the Worlds’ first ever Humanitarians of the World Hall of Fame(tm) , honoring humanitarians of the World Wide.

He has done all this for the past 45 years, without taking a single penny for his services. He Believes that he is doing Allah (Gods), work and his reward is from him. No person can offer that. Dr. Hussain went on to say, I will serve humanity to my last breath and continue to help people who need help.

On Wednesday April 2023, Humanitarians of the World Inc., donated twenty Back packs filled with Electronics and gifts like chargers, Sanitizers, Books, Pens, Games, and many more items. It was given to twenty youths, who are students from the An-Noor Cultural Center, in Woodside Queens New York.

The An-Noor Cultural Center, in Woodside Queens New York is headed by Imam Mufti Mohammed Ismail, who started the Organization approxately, ten years ago. The Purpose of the Organization   is to develop the youth of today into leaders, model scholars, and dedicated workers of Deen. Through our programs, An-Noor aims to produce scholars who will join the ranks of the next generation of professional Ulama, Huffaz and make a positive impact on their community.

The Back packs filled with gifts was given to 20 youths, From Turkey, Indonesia, Morocco, Bangladesh and many more countries. Imam Ismail, went on to say, we like to thank humanitarians of the World Inc, for the gifts for many of our youths, which is really needed some of the family’s experience hardships, as well as receiving a check of $1000.00 (One Thousand Dollars) as Zakat from Humanitarians of the World Inc.,   to support children who are orphans. It’s difficult to have extra money after paying rent and bills. To buy additional things for the kids. So we are very highly appreciative to Dr. Adal Hussain and his organization as well as his members, choose our organization and support it.

Kids will be able to use the Back packs to put their homework and computers in to take to school as well as bring them to us at An-Noor Cultural Center.

Exclusive interview with Miss Universe 2023 R’BONNEY GABRIEL

R’Bonney is an eco-friendly fashion designer, model, and sewing instructor based in Houston, TX, and New York City. She attributes her upbeat, optimistic outlook to a childhood immersed in the arts, sports, and travel

R’Bonney first fell in love with fashion through her mother, who taught her how to sew and took her on adventures to thrift shops, where they would find pieces to upcycle with their own designs. As a teenager, she followed this passion to the University of North Texas, where she earned her degree in Fashion Design and Fibers. She combines her talent for design with caring for the environment in her own sustainable clothing line, R’Bonney Nola. 

R’Bonney Nola supports and advocates for ethical practices in the fashion industry by using upcycled and sustainable textiles to transform discarded material into beautifully handmade garments – including the cape R’Bonney wore for the Miss Universe competition!

R’Bonney is the lead sewing instructor at Magpies & Peacocks, a Houston-based nonprofit design house that is dedicated to using “Fashion as a force for good” through sustainability and community impact. They received a Gucci Changemaker grant for their work in transforming unwanted textiles and fabrics from landfills into new fashion collections. As part of their MAKR program, R’Bonney teaches sewing classes to women that have survived human trafficking and domestic violence, which helps them find sustainable careers. 

As the first Filipino-American to win Miss Universe and Miss USA, much of her platform is about embracing your culture. She is a voice for Asian-Americans, opening the door for more diversity and representation in society. R’Bonney’s mission is to inspire women and young girls to achieve their goals while owning who they are.
